About
I'm an RCI-registered special educator. I help children aged 6 to 14 build the skills that make learning feel possible again, and I help their parents support them at home.
When a child struggles at school, I rarely see effort as the problem. More often, a skill underneath the schoolwork—such as understanding instructions, organising a thought or making sense of numbers—needs more support.
In my experience, tuition rarely fixes that because it repeats the same lessons at the same pace. I look for where learning breaks down, teach that skill in a way that suits the child, and show parents how to keep it going at home.
That is why I started The Skill Nest: one child, one plan, and parents who know what to do next.
I begin with what your child does well and build from there, so sessions feel like progress, not correction.
I use games, puzzles, objects and stories rather than relying only on worksheets. I find children learn by doing and by explaining what they have handled.
I don't use group lessons or a fixed syllabus. I build each plan around your child's priority milestones.
I share monthly progress reports and simple tips that fit into your family routines.
I'm an educator, not a doctor, so I don't diagnose ADHD or learning disabilities. If I think a clinical evaluation would help your child, I'll tell you and suggest who to see.
Tell me what you've noticed at home and at school. In 30 minutes, we'll work out whether I can help and what would come next.
